This was my 1st time capturing an Aqiqah ceremony (Aqiqah, is an Islamic ceremony celebrating the birth of a child) . It was the day to celebrate the arrival of Amaar, a cute & active lil boy. It’s always great fun capturing gatherings of family 7 friends. It’s always a hive of fun, laughter, & some chaos

Isabelle : Playground

Have you ever been on a children’s playground and it’s totally empty? There is a sense of peace and also eerie calmness, especially if you just visited the playground a day before and it’s chock full of people & children running about.

This was an early Monday morning session, as of course there isn’t a soul in the Lake Garden’s playground, except for a few cleaning personals doing their deli gent work of cleaning up. I’m here to capture a family from Netherlands with their gorgeous daughter Isabelle. As usual it was fun chasing her about the whole huge playground, but for the 1st time, there isn’t a need to rush as the whole playground is OURS!

I love doing outdoor shoots, but once a while, especially when our Malaysian weather gets a little too hot, I can also shoot in the air-conditioned comfort of your home . What’s better than a studio with the comforts of your home! Theresa & her family requested me for a session of portraits, as everyone are back from overseas for the holidays, and would like to capture some memories.

Matahari : Newborn Portraits

Newborn portraits, just one of my fav subjects. This is my 1st time capturing a subject at only 9 days old! This was a packaged session together with a henna + maternity session recently. She has already booked me quite early

As this was such a young one, the session ran much much longer than usual, taking up to almost 4 hours! Newborn session’s schedule is not decided by me, or the mum, it’s all up to the “Big” boss!

It was real fun shoot the little one, tho I wish the posing could have been better, but then again, it’s all up to the little model!

Nasreen + Peter : Maternity Session

It’s been fun shooting indoor maternity sessions, but I’ve been yearning for something different. then as luck would have it, I have an enquiry for fun & outdoorsy styled maternity session!
Nasreen & Peter contacted me for a maternity portrait session during their trip back to Malaysia to have their child here. She’s already on her 37th week when we did the session. I salute her for her all her energy & patience to still pose for me! It was an extremely fun session with Peter being an awesome model & at the same time, class clown.

Gong Xi Fa Chai! – Happy Chinese New Year!

It’s the time of the year again, where parents gets poorer and kids are very very happy. Ang pows, lion dances & fire crackers, it’s Chinese New Year 2011, Year of the Golden Rabbit.

As I did some portraits with the kids for Christmas, how can I not make one for CNY. Everyone had tons of fun playing with the Ang Pows, tho I think Jamie’s gold shirt was bothering him due to the “itchiness”. Which is why he changed wardrobe midway.

Henna + Maternity : Aida

Just before the new year, I had the privilege to shoot a Henna maternity session. It was good to see the henna artist again working her magic.

The shoot was done all in-doors to prevent everyone melting from the hot hot hot sun that day.

Musikhaus/Learnsmart Academy – Annual Concert 2010

Here’s a quick compilation of shots from a capture last month. It was a very very cool concert, with children as young as 2 joining in! I sure had fun capturing & watching all the performances(especially the 18 Martial Arts song, being a fan of LeeHom). I’m sure my kids would love to be there, too bad we live so far from their center.
