One of my most interesting & eye opening experience during a session is a recent commission to capture the students & teachers of a specials needs school in Singapore. I’m very impressed & really appreciate the care & patience the teachers & parents of special needs children, within the 2 days of spending time with them at their schools.

Below is an except from their website.

Established in 1992, Rainbow Centre Singapore is a registered charity with the Registry of Societies and granted the Institute of Public Character (IPC) status under the Charities Act.

The Centre runs two special education schools and two early intervention centres at Rainbow Centre – Margaret Drive School campus and Rainbow Centre – Yishun Park School campus for children with special needs. Both schools adopt a holistic developmental curriculum in areas of language and communication skills, cognitive skills, social and emotional skills, fine and gross motor skills, and adaptive daily living skills carried out by a multi-disciplinary team of trained Special Education Teachers, Speech Language Therapists, Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, Psychologists, Social Workers, and Music and Art Therapists.

I just love shooting maternity sessions. I find belly bumps are very photogenic and the mom-to-be are always glowing. This time it’s just a dear neighbor of mine, and their daughter is my kid’s playground mates! So i don’t need to lug all my equipment to the car, just down the elevator,

Portraits from Portable Studio in Digital Mall

Quick, awesome & easy portraits with prints was given away courtesy of Digital Mall in conjunction with their Camera Fair recently. I was commissioned by Digital Mall to provide their customers a free portrait & print as a thanks for shopping in Digital Mall. We provided a make over by JoJo Artistry & a session of quick portraits plus one free print using the Epson PictureMate PM310.

It was a blast shooting this 3 day session. We had to be quick, awesome & make sure everyone to be at ease & be gorgeous in front of the camera, and all the while in front of a crowd too! Prints are ready within less than a few minutes with little to no waiting time. Here’s a few shots of our studio for 3 day.

Isabelle : Playground

Have you ever been on a children’s playground and it’s totally empty? There is a sense of peace and also eerie calmness, especially if you just visited the playground a day before and it’s chock full of people & children running about.

This was an early Monday morning session, as of course there isn’t a soul in the Lake Garden’s playground, except for a few cleaning personals doing their deli gent work of cleaning up. I’m here to capture a family from Netherlands with their gorgeous daughter Isabelle. As usual it was fun chasing her about the whole huge playground, but for the 1st time, there isn’t a need to rush as the whole playground is OURS!

I love doing outdoor shoots, but once a while, especially when our Malaysian weather gets a little too hot, I can also shoot in the air-conditioned comfort of your home . What’s better than a studio with the comforts of your home! Theresa & her family requested me for a session of portraits, as everyone are back from overseas for the holidays, and would like to capture some memories.

Matahari : Newborn Portraits

Newborn portraits, just one of my fav subjects. This is my 1st time capturing a subject at only 9 days old! This was a packaged session together with a henna + maternity session recently. She has already booked me quite early

As this was such a young one, the session ran much much longer than usual, taking up to almost 4 hours! Newborn session’s schedule is not decided by me, or the mum, it’s all up to the “Big” boss!

It was real fun shoot the little one, tho I wish the posing could have been better, but then again, it’s all up to the little model!

It’s been fun shooting indoor maternity sessions, but I’ve been yearning for something different. then as luck would have it, I have an enquiry for fun & outdoorsy styled maternity session!
Nasreen & Peter contacted me for a maternity portrait session during their trip back to Malaysia to have their child here. She’s already on her 37th week when we did the session. I salute her for her all her energy & patience to still pose for me! It was an extremely fun session with Peter being an awesome model & at the same time, class clown.
